·         Write down the title of every book you read.

CHS instructional day begins at 7:30 a.m.; students tardy to school (after 7:30 a.m.) without a parent note will be assigned after-school detention. 

CHS is completely UNPLUGGED:  Students, please leave electronic devices at home or off & out of sight during the school day, or they will be confiscated & require a parent to pick them up at the end of the day.

GENERAL CHS NEWS

Thurs., May 17, is the last Gifted Advisory Board Meeting of the year (at SBO at 7 p.m.); Dr. Laurie Abeel, special guest speaker, is giving a presentation on Destination Imagination.  All are invited to attend.

 

Menutainment is here Thurs., May 17, during lunches!   Chefs are serving Stir Fry (can also be made Vegetarian).  Only $3.75. Use your account or Free/Reduced Benefits!

 

2012-2013 Textbook Season is beginning, and we need student volunteer help this summer (specifically rising 9th grade students and high school students).  Please see memo for more information.

Hey Courtland: Here’s a FREE way to say good-bye to your favorite senior!  SCA is hosting “Kiss-A- Senior Good-Bye.”  Stop by SCA table (A-day lunches); write a special message to favorite seniors.  Messages delivered at grad practice.

Summer school info/registration:  New Courses cost $250 each (run Jun. 18 – Jul. 23).  Repeat Courses are $125 per course - limit 2 (one each session).   1st session is Jun. 18 – Jul. 3; 2nd session is Jul. 9 – Jul. 24. 

·         Massaponax H.S. is hosting. 

·         All classes run 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

·         Deadline for payment & application is Jun. 6

·         Payment & application are due to Mrs. Davis (registrar at CHS)

·         Requirements for repeat courses: 

o   Student has been absent no more than 15 days during the regular school year in the course he/she wishes to take

OR

o   Student has earned an average of at least 50% for the year in course in which he/she wishes to repeat.
